Job VS Business | Why 'A' Students Work For 'C' Students | Lab Of Rich

Job VS Business

Job VS Business

In this blog, you will learn about the difference between Job and a Business. This information is taken from the book "Why A Students Work For C Students" by Robert Kiyosaki.

Generally, we expect a high income from our career so that we can give a comfortable life to our family. Whenever we think of financial security, a job comes to our mind because our school has trained us for a job.

By the way, in our education system, there is nothing taught about business, but whenever it is taught, it is done with the motive of doing a job in business and this is by default. That's why whenever we think of a successful company we wish to do a job in it, not to start a same or better business than it.

Here education degree and course mean the same thing that you get a job. By Oxford Research by the end of the year, by 2030 29% of jobs will be taken over by artificial intelligence and only 13% of jobs will be created.

Therefore let me tell you some lessons taken from Robert Kiyosaki's books so that you can choose whether you want to do a business or a job.

Lesson 1 - The Success Myth

The Success Myth

Since childhood, our parents have taught us that if we want to be successful, then we should study hard, and when we study hard we will get good marks and a good college. Then we have to study there so that we can get a high-paying job.

In short, according to parents and our education system, to become successful in life, we have to become an 'A' grade student and get a high-paying job.

But according to Robert Kiyosaki if we look at the meaning of success then it is the opposite of what we have been taught in our education. Success means: "The fact that you have achieved what you want".

In order to become successful, we need to have good financial knowledge and there is no course or degree by which you can master finance because finance is a skill as well as an art.

According to the author, if you don't have a fancy degree or something like that then you can also easily become successful because finance, investing and business building do not need any degree.

Lesson 2 - Placing Yourself In The Cashflow Quadrant

Placing Yourself In The Cashflow Quadrant

Let us deeply understand what a Cashflow Quadrant is.

Cashflow Quadrant

Employee

90% of the world's population falls into this category. This category is very hardworking. They wake up at 8 AM daily to go to the office and complete their boss's orders but unfortunately, this 90% of people have only 5% of the world's total wealth.

Most people are in this category because we are prepared for this category from childhood by default. These people have only one source of income and that is their salary therefore their main goal is job security. Therefore it is very difficult for them to become rich. These people sell their time for money.

In starting their salary is very less and their desires are very much, therefore, they take a lot of debt in starting only.

Self Employed

These categories include doctors, lawyers, and owners of small shops. These people also earn money by exchanging their time but they don't have any boss sitting on their heads and instructing them.

These people have created their jobs, that's why they are called self-employed.

Business Owners

Their main motive is to earn money by hiring skillful people in their company. They know how to delegate their work to someone else. If they don't have money to start a business then they start a business by taking loans or they start a business with a very small amount.

They have to do a lot of hard work and take a lot of risks in starting but these sacrifices are for the short term unless they have set up their system, process, policy, and business. Once these things are set up their employees work for them and make them rich.

Investors

These are those smart people who do research and invest in other people's companies and get passive income.

Lesson 3 - Efforts And Results

Efforts And Results

Let me ask you a question: If you have a piece of land and you can harvest 2 things on it, 1st is corn (90 days to harvest) and 2nd is coffee(3-5 years to harvest). Now, which crop will you choose?

In real life, maximum people choose corn because they will wait for 3-5 years. They will harvest corn and sell it after 3 months and will do it repeatedly for their whole life.

But a financially smart person will choose coffee because coffee is like a business. First, it will take a lot of time to grow, there will be risk involved, and lots of effort involved but when the business starts expanding it gives amazing results.

Whereas corn is like a job where you do hard work for 1 month and then you get a salary and then you will start this whole process again.

Lesson 4 - Satisfaction

Satisfaction

According to a survey, there is repetitive work in the job and after some time 85% of the people start getting bored by doing the same thing again and again but they have to do that work like robots because they are addicted to their salary.

85% of people who do jobs are not satisfied whereas only 15% of people who do jobs are really satisfied and love doing what they are doing.

Work as hard as you want in the job, your salary will increase at the end of the year whereas in business hard work is directly proportional to growth and you can increase your income daily.
