Difference Between Business And Job
In this blog, you will learn about the Difference Between Business And Job.
Ben Shapiro (American Conservative Political Commentator) was once asked by a boy "Suppose you are the owner of a pencil factory and I am the worker of that factory. So you can buy all the machinery, you can buy all the raw materials but if workers refuse to work in your factory then you have nothing. But when the company earns extra profit it is never distributed to workers, we don't get an extra salary, all the extra income is earned by the owner."
Ben Shapiro replied that owners have to buy all the machinery, raw materials, and paint, rent a place to build an office and factory, hire employees, and manage all the systems. Therefore all the profit is taken by the owner. If the company goes bankrupt then the owner has to pay all the debt and sometimes sell his personal assets in order to clear debt, but a worker has to pay nothing and a worker is useless in the company without the machinery."
This conversation was between a socialist and a capitalist. And this also gives the difference between the job and business.
So Let's Us Discuss The Difference Between Job And Business.
1st -: In Terms Of Security And Risk
Maximum middle-class parents dream that their children get a government job because if they get a government job then their life will be secured and their basic needs will be covered for a lifetime. But when we see youngsters like us opening new companies and getting investments then we think we should also open a new company.
For example -:
- Pharma Easy Valuation - 10500 Crore
- Groww Valuation - 7000 Crore
- Meesho Valuation - 1400 Crore
- Cred Valuation - 1500 Crore
- Share Chat Valuation - 15500 Crore
Many Unicorns are being formed in India whose valuation is more than 7000 Crore. And then after knowing these things we think about why we should do a 50k job when there are many opportunities in the market.
But the problem is we only see the positive side of the business. There are many risks involved in the business that many people ignore. Risk of being bankrupt, risk of being in huge debt, handling a lot of pressure in starting the company, etc. Many companies have failed.
For example -:
- 50 Crore was invested in Shortang Company but the company failed.
- 850 Core was invented in Just Buy Company but the company failed.
- 14 Crore were invested in Port Desk and this company also failed.
- And the most famous hike messenger in which 14000 crore were invested but this company also failed.
In short 90% of business fails in the first 5 years. And 80% of the remaining business fails in the next 10 years. Therefore statically speaking getting selected in IIT or MIT is easier than starting a business and making a valuation of more than 7000 Crore.
Do not get depressed but this is pure data.
So the question arises that we should start our business or do a job?
Let us discuss some rules of Mark Cuban to properly understand the answer to this question.
Rule No 1 -: Start a business that you are enjoying so that even if the business fails, you must have enjoyed it at that time and if the business becomes successful then you will automatically become wealthy.
Rule No 2 -: Don't start your business by taking a loan because there are many unpredictable things in business that we cannot predict and the bank doesn't care whether your business gets successful or bankrupt, the bank wants its money back.
Rule No 3 -: Start a part-time business and after 1-1.5 years you will know if that business will be successful or not.
Conclusion
Job has security but at the same time doesn't have much-earning potential. On the other hand, business has maximum earning potential but at the same time, business is risky.
Therefore you have to decide what career you have to choose and what suits you the best.
